WHS & Environmental

Committed to Safe, Sustainable and Compliant Work Practices

At WIRED ACT, workplace health and safety is embedded in everything we do. We take a proactive, collaborative approach to risk management and environmental responsibility—ensuring every site meets legal, safety, and sustainability standards. Our directors lead from the front, and every team member understands their role in maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)

  • WHS plans are developed and implemented for every project.
  • Site-specific procedures are regularly reviewed and updated to match the tasks at hand.
  • All directors and staff are trained in our safety systems and actively contribute to WHS compliance.
  • Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are reviewed in consultation with employees to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Safety is a shared responsibility, and we foster a culture of communication, accountability, and teamwork.

Site Risk Management

  • Before starting any work, all team members participate in project-specific risk consultations.
  • Site-specific controls are documented in a “Site Start-Up Document,” outlining key risks and how they’ll be managed.
  • Directors are directly involved in the review and implementation of safety measures for each project.

Environmental Responsibility

  • We adhere to all customer and site-specific environmental requirements.
  • Environmental considerations are integrated into our WHS plans to minimise site impact.
  • Recycling is enforced on all projects; waste is sorted and disposed of at appropriate facilities.
  • Hazardous waste management—including asbestos and silica dust—is handled according to strict safety protocols.
  • All team members are trained in asbestos and silica awareness.

Hazardous Materials & Compliance

  • Staff are trained in identifying and working safely with asbestos and silica-related risks.
  • WIRED ACT works closely with environmental consultants (e.g. L&D Consulting) to ensure compliance with reports related to lead paint and asbestos.
  • All hazardous materials are managed in accordance with industry best practices and safety legislation.
