Built from the ground up by a hands-on leadership team, our company thrives on experience, diversity, and a shared commitment to excellence.

The WIRED ACT company structure is built around our core leadership team—three directors: Brock Harper, Stephen Harper, and John Catling. This experienced trio forms the foundation of our operations and was instrumental in launching the company in January 2020. Since then, WIRED ACT has grown into a team of 15, including qualified electricians, apprentices, and administrative staff.

Our team brings together a wide range of life and industry experience, enabling us to approach challenges from multiple perspectives. We foster a can-do attitude and believe that every problem has a solution—we just need to work together to find it.

With our directors actively involved in the day-to-day operations, there is always someone available for our clients to speak to. Brock, Stephen, and John each have defined roles but work closely together to ensure projects run smoothly. Their leadership is hands-on and visible—we call it "on the coal face". They regularly attend daily pre-start meetings to stay across program progress, discuss WHS matters, share client feedback, offer training and support, and recognise team achievements.

Our Canberra-based crews work in teams of two or more to maintain safe communication on-site. WIRED ACT has a strong commitment to apprentice training and currently employs six apprentices from diverse backgrounds. Our latest intake includes two Aboriginal apprentices, and we are actively working to increase representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, women, people with disability, and individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. We believe apprentices are the future of our industry, which is why we prioritise one-on-one mentoring and continuous development.

Finally, we know that delivering on our clients’ goals means setting clear objectives of our own. We pride ourselves on forward planning, transparent communication, and never missing a deadline. If a project requires additional support, we act quickly—deploying more resources and ensuring our directors are on-site, leading from the front.
